In this project, qoncept carried out a feasibility study for the implementation of an automatic multi-media coupling system designed to replace manual hose connections for gas and hydraulics in a steel plant environment. The study focused on evaluating technical feasibility, defining installation requirements, and identifying optimal system positioning through detailed collision and layout analyses. It also included the basic engineering for piping and pipe routing on ladles and transfer cars, as well as the design of custom brackets, guiding systems, and protective components. Two on-site assessments were conducted to verify boundary conditions and refine the installation concept in close collaboration with plant engineers. The resulting study provides the technical basis for the subsequent detailed engineering and installation of a fully automated coupling solution, aimed at increasing operator safety, reducing connection time, and enhancing process reliability
In this project, qoncept prepared a complete modernization package for a ladle preheating unit and an AOD preheating system. The scope includes basic and detailed engineering, delivery of new ladle covers with lifting systems, integration of a thermographic sensor into qoncept's software platform qontrol, and installation of advanced gas-oxygen control systems. High-quality components and modular solutions were selected to ensure reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards. The project also covers assembly, commissioning, and operator training, with the objective of reducing gas consumption, lowering CO₂ emissions, and improving operational safety and process stability
