For this project, qoncept performed the basic engineering for a new metallurgical application that enables the selective oxidation of steel melts. The study included complete process and layout designs for an integrated system that combines all the necessary operations. The engineering approach followed a structured, three-phase methodology, from defining the process and developing flow diagrams to evaluating the layout and detailing all technical and infrastructural requirements. Static production planning and simulation models were applied to analyze logistics, throughput, and process efficiency under different operational scenarios. The outcome included process descriptions, flow diagrams, equipment and automation specifications, layout drawings, and a preliminary execution schedule. This documentation provides the technical and methodological foundation for subsequent detail engineering and the future realization of the new metallurgical plant.
